Linda Garrett has worked with healthcare providers for over thirty-five years. She is experienced both as a medical malpractice defense attorney and as a risk management and loss prevention consultant. Her trainings cover a variety of healthcare law topics including confidentiality, involuntary treatment, telehealth, Tarasoff warnings, incident response, and documentation. Linda is a renowned lecturer who is known throughout California for her risk management acumen and the breadth of her healthcare law knowledge.

Linda is admitted to the State Bar of California. She holds a BA from the University of California, Berkeley and a JD from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco. Beyond her legal practice, Linda enjoys skiing, reading, and fostering kittens for Toni’s Kitty Rescue in San Francisco.


Andrew Garrett

Andrew Garrett is an experienced attorney, investigator, negotiator, and trainer. His trainings cover a variety of healthcare law topics including behavioral healthcare, minor consent to healthcare, California’s Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act (CANRA), and recent legal developments impacting providers. He is perhaps best known for his extensive knowledge of 42 CFR Part 2, a federal regulation that gives heightened privacy protections to many substance use disorder records.

Andrew is admitted to the State Bar of California. He holds a BA from the University of Arizona, and a JD from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco. Beyond his legal practice, Andrew enjoys Westerns, bouldering, and baseball on the radio.
